Clarence Wesley ROBERTS. Born on 29 Aug 1922 in Wildersville, Henderson County,Tennessee. At the age of 81, Clarence Wesley died on 22 Apr 2004. Buried on 24 Apr 2004 in Farmsville Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee in May 2001. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Dec 2004.

Obituary: Services for Clarence Roberts were held Saturday, April 24 at Reeds Chapel with burial at Farmsville Cemetery. Mr. Roberts, 81, of Wildersville, died Thursday, April 22. He is survived by 2 daughters, Corinne Prater of Clarksburg and Joy Faye Rider of New Albany, Miss; a son, Wesley Roberts of Wildersville; a sister, Jane Simpson of Huntingdon; 3 brothers, Clebert Roberts of Knoxville and Gerald Roberts of Crossville, and Joe Thomas Roberts of Grand Haven, Mich.; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Clarence Wesley married Elnora McCLURE, daughter of James McCLURE (1892-1974) & Dossie ANDERSON (1902-1966). Born on 15 Jun 1921 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Elnora died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee on 2 Dec 2004. Buried in Dec 2004 in Carroll Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Doe". They were divorced.

Obituary: Elnora "Doe" Roberts, 83, of Clarksburg, died Thursday, Dec 2, at her home. Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at the Chase Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Wendell Boyd officiated. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers who served were Johnny McClure, Glen McClure, Jimmy McClure, Bobby Butler, Charles Weatherford, and Johnny Blount. Mrs. Roberts, the daughter of the late Jim and Dessie (Anderson) McClure, was born June 15, 1921, in Henderson County. She was a retired factory worker for the Leroy Somer Company and a member of the County Line Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy McClure and Cecil McClure;a sister, Imogene Woods; and a granddaughter, Teresa Roberts. She is survived by two daughters, Corinne Prater of Clarksburg and Joy Rider of Potts Camp, Mississippi; a son, Wesley Roberts of Lexington; a sister, Annie Webb of Clarksburg; a special sister-in-law, Betty Faye McClure of Clarksburg; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

293. Raymond Bryant ROBERTS. Born on 24 Jan 1927 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 74, Raymond Bryant died in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee on 2 Apr 2001. Buried in Apr 2001 in Hermitage Memorial Gardens, Davidson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Raymond B. Roberts, 74, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, April 2, at Summitt Hospital in Nashville. Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. His sons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers who served were Bowling Senior league & C.B. friends. Mr. Roberts, the son of the late Cecil and Laura Roberts of Clarksburg, was born January 24, 1927. He was a retired U.S. Postal employee. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rae-Ann Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Roberts; six children, Roger N. Roberts and Diana L. Rich, both of Huntingdon, Robin Roberts and Raymond B. Roberts, II, both of Hermitage, Ross Roberts of Mt. Juliet, and Rachel E. Roberts of Knoxville; three stepsons, John A. Davis, Rodney Wayne Davis and Larry E. Davis; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence Roberts of Parkers Crossroads, Clebert Roberts of Oak Ridge, Gerald Roberts of Crossville, and Joe Thomas Roberts of Grandhaven, Michigan; and a sister, Minnie Jane Simpson of Huntingdon.

Raymond Bryant first married Aline Nellie REED, daughter of Joe Cephus REED (1889-1959) & Eular RUMMAGE (1889-1983). Born on 21 Aug 1928. At the age of 48, Aline Nellie died on 19 Aug 1977. They were divorced.

They had one child:

294. Minnie Jane ROBERTS. Born on 2 Dec 1931. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Apr 2004.

Minnie Jane married Paul Homer SIMPSON, son of Stephen Robert SIMPSON (1884-1948) & Vicie Pearl CROSS (1888-1972). Born on 5 Nov 1923 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in May 2001.

They had the following children:
i. Janice Pearl. Born on 26 Apr 1952.

ii. Judy Mae. Born on 6 Oct 1953.
