256. Oscar Frederick MEALS. Born on 11 Jul 1884 in Keene, Texas. Occupation: Worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 50 years.

Oscar, like a lot of men who lived in Cleburne, worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for nearly 50 years; first as a section labor (track repairman), then water service, switchman and last as a clerk in an office. His son, Raymond, worked with his father at the railroad during World War II. However, he finally went to work for the Santa Fe in April 1937 and retired in 1976. Oscar Frederick married LIA.

They had the following children:
i. Clarence B.. Born in 1906.

ii. Ruby. Born in 1908.

454 iii. Raymond Claude
