Obituary: Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Willie Powers are scheduled for 1:00pm, Friday, October 3, 2003 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with John Powers and David Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Judson Cemetery. Mrs. Powers died early Wednesday in Dyer, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Tavy Andrew Powers. Survivors include her six sons, Steve Powers of Lexington, Teddy Powers of Auburntown, TN, John Powers of El Paso, AK, Robert Powers of Dell, AK, Mark Powers of Wynne, AK, and David Powers of Lake Village, AK, four daughters, Imogene Dodd of Camden, Wilma Blair of Smithville, Elisabeth Mitchell of Hendersonville, and Rachel Duck of Dyer, a brother, Ray McDaniel of Huntingdon, three sisters, Pearl Davis of Lexington, Edna Faye Blankenship of Huntingdon, and Juanita Frantz of Houston, TX, and 22 grandchildren.
Lou Willie married Reverend Tavy Andrew POWERS. Born on 16 Oct 1912. At the age of 57, Tavy Andrew died in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee on 5 Jun 1970. Buried in Jun 1970 in Judson Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
