Family of Rowland MILAM (1) & Liddia JACKSON

2. Ransom MILAM. Born in 1785 in Warren County, North Carolina. At the age of 65, Ransom died in Stewart County, Tennessee aft 1850.

Ransom married Mary ?. Born in North Carolina. Mary died in Stewart County, Tennessee aft 1850.

They had one child:
i. Mary. Born in 1829.


3. William O. MILAM. Born about 1794 in Warren County, North Carolina. At the age of 78, William O. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 19 Jan 1872. Alias/AKA: "Billie".

William Milam and Mary Lowery Milam were living in the 14th District, Henderson County, during the 1860 Census.

Removed from Rock Springs Methodist Church Membership by Letter in 1850.

Obituary: At his residence in Henderson County, William Milam died in his 78th year. He was one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of Henderson County.

about 1818 when William O. was 24, he married Mary LOWERY, daughter of Robert LOWERY. Born about 1798 in North Carolina. Alias/AKA: "Pollie".

They had the following children:

7 iii. Nancy Jane (1822-1884)
iv. William Henry. Born in 1828.

v. John Calvin. Born in 1829.

On 23 Nov 1868 when John Calvin was 39, he first married Rebecca J. JEFFRIES, in Marshall County, Mississippi.

On 14 Dec 1871 when John Calvin was 42, he second married Anna RODGERS, in Marshall County, Mississippi.

vii. Newton Jasper. Born in 1832 in Big Sandy, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 68, Newton Jasper died in 1900.

In 1858 when Newton Jasper was 26, he married Emma Elizabeth FRAZIER, in Yalabousha, Mississippi.

viii. Pheolonas Green. Born in 1835 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 11th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Alias/AKA: "P.S.".

Military: Served as the Commander of F Company, 55th Tennessee Infantry Regiment, CSA, during the American Civil War.

Pheolonas Green Milam was living alone in Henderson County, Tennessee, during the 1860 Census.

ix. Mary A.. Born in 1836 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

x. Fredonia. Born in 1837 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

xi. Sanford L.. Born in 1839 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

9 xii. Joseph Archibald (1840-)

4. Stephen MILAM. Born in 1799 in Warren County, North Carolina. At the age of 74, Stephen died in Dyer County, Tennessee in 1873. Resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850.

In 1818 when Stephen was 19, he first married Eleandor PEGRAM, daughter of Daniel PEGRAM Junior (1779-1819) & Lucy MILAM, in Tennessee. Born in 1802 in North Carolina. At the age of 51, Eleandor died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1853. Resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850. Alias/AKA: "Ellen".

They had the following children:
i. Louisa E.. Born about 1833.

ii. Felix. Born about 1835 in Tennessee.

iii. Delphy. Born about 1840 in Tennessee.

iv. Gladin. Born about 1841 in Tennessee.

v. Cora. Born about 1844 in Tennessee.


In 1868 when Stephen was 69, he second married Eliza ASHLAND, in Henderson County, Tennessee.
