On 14 Oct 1845 when Thomas S. was 20, he married Elizabeth Jane ROARK, daughter of Elijah ROARK (1798-1858) & Easter JOYNER (1804-1895). Born on 6 Jan 1827 in Tennessee. At the age of 61, Elizabeth Jane died on 23 Aug 1888. They had one child:
17. Zelpha Ann GULLEDGE. Born on 1 Mar 1829 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, Zelpha Ann died after 1910. Zelpha was living with her inlaws, Uriah Springer and Ruth Belew Springer, in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. On 15 Feb 1846 when Zelpha Ann was 16, she married Thomas SPRINGER, son of Uriah SPRINGER (1805-) & Ruth Elizabeth BELEW (1805-1870), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1826. At the age of 23, Thomas died in Carroll County, Tennessee in Nov 1849. They had the following children:
18. Mary Jane GULLEDGE. Born on 3 Jun 1832. At the age of 60, Mary Jane died on 15 Jun 1892. On 1 Sep 1848 when Mary Jane was 16, she married Samuel W. HOLMES, son of William HOLMES (~1783-) & Mary BILLINGSLEY (~1814-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born about 1829 in Tennessee. They had the following children:
19. Martha Ellen GULLEDGE. Born on 26 Oct 1840 in Tennessee. On 12 Sep 1860 when Martha Ellen was 19, she married Newton C. HARDY, son of Jesse HARDY (1810-) & Hannah GIST (1812-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in Apr 1839 in Tennessee. At the age of 86, Newton C. died about 1926. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. They had the following children:
