1. Daniel TATE. Born about 1810. Buried in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Gunsmith.

Daniel first married ?.

They had the following children:
2 i. Jesse M. (1836-1904)
3 ii. Sarah H. (1838-1863)
iii. Jasper. Cause of death: Killed during the American Civil War.

iv. Nancy E..

v. John William. Buried in New Liberty Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. John William served in Company G, 7th Cavalry Regiment, US Army. Occupation: Farmer. Cause of death: Murdered by bushwhackers during the American Civil War.

vi. Elisha. Born on 13 May 1833. Alias/AKA: "E".

On 25 Aug 1848 when Daniel was 38, he second married Randah COLLINS, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Martha D.. Alias/AKA: "Mattie".

ii. Helen.

iii. Hannah.
