Nancy Hardaway married Robert SINGLETON.

3. Elizabeth E. WALL. Born on 20 Apr 1800 in Mechlenburg County, Virginia. At the age of 71, Elizabeth E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 5 Jan 1872. Buried in Jan 1872 in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

Elizabeth Wall Burton was living with her son, Thomas Henry Burton, in the 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee, in 1870.

Elizabeth E. married James Wade BURTON, in Joyce, Mechlenburg County, Virginia. Born on 28 Jun 1804 in Joyce, Mechlenburg County, Virginia. At the age of 60, James Wade died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 24 Dec 1864. Buried in Dec 1864 in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Cause of death: Murdered by bushwhackers on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1864.

4. Rebecca Anne D. WALL. Born on 6 Sep 1803 in Mechlenburg County, Virginia. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

On 19 Mar 1819 when Rebecca Anne D. was 15, she first married John VAUGHN.

Rebecca Anne D. second married Andrew SIMPSON. Born in 1788 in Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Marion Simpson was living in the household of his uncle, John H. Wall, in 1850.


5. Jane H. WALL. Born on 9 Feb 1806 in Mechlenburg County, Virginia. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

On 28 Aug 1826 when Jane H. was 20, she married George HATCH, son of Thomas Hardaway HATCH & Cinthia BREWER, in Warren County, North Carolina. Born on 28 Nov 1808 in Orange County, North Carolina. At the age of 64, George died on 2 Mar 1873. Buried in Mar 1873 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

On 5 Apr 1861 when James H. was 23, he married Lucinda Elanor SUGG, daughter of Aaron SUGG (1814-1902) & Mary LAYCOOK (1815-1885), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 1 Feb 1843 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Lucinda Elanor died in Dardanelle, Arkansas on 27 Aug 1926.

7. Thomas Merideth Thweat WALL. Born on 12 Dec 1812 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. At the age of 77, Thomas Merideth Thweat died in Dekalb County, Tennessee on 2 Oct 1890. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

On 22 Mar 1837 when Thomas Merideth Thweat was 24, he first married Elizabeth H. CLACK, daughter of Thomas CLACK & Elizabeth TANGLES, in Warren County, North Carolina. Born on 19 Aug 1818 in Warren County, North Carolina. At the age of 44, Elizabeth H. died in Dekalb County, Tennessee on 8 Feb 1863.

They had the following children:
i. William Henry Freeman. Born on 25 Feb 1838 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. At the age of 23, William Henry Freeman died on 9 Jul 1861. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

In 1859 when William Henry Freeman was 20, he married Elizabeth WILLIAMS.

ii. Mary Ann Jane. Born on 21 Aug 1839 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Mary Ann Jane died on 10 Jan 1840.

iii. Rebecca Elizabeth. Born on 9 Nov 1840 in Warren County, North Carolina. At the age of 27, Rebecca Elizabeth died about 1868. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Rebecca Elizabeth married Joseph F. JACKSON.

31 iv. Nathan Thweatt (1843-1923)
v. Thomas Meritt. Born on 21 Sep 1845 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 23, Thomas Meritt died about 1869. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Thomas Meritt married Lucy Jane GRIFFITH.
