Tennessee Midland Railroad Company Depots
 Located in West Tennessee

Tennessee Midland Railway trackage from Memphis to Jackson was completed on June 1, 1888. The
next year the track was completed to Perryville on the Tennessee River and
on June 30, 1889, the first train operated from Memphis to Perryville.
It consisted of a baggage car, two passenger cars and three freight cars. Perryville's
importance was due to the transfer of passengers and freight
between boats on the Tennessee River and the railroad.

During construction of the line from Memphis to Perryville during the years of 1888
and 1889, several freight/passenger depots were built along the route.  I
have included photos of 14 of the Tennessee Midland rail depots
below. I am still missing photos on Mercer, Whiteville, Hickory Withe,
Beech Bluff and a few others.  Hopefully
they will turn up.
