Family of Mary Frances BLOUNT (8) & James W. ROSSER

17. Nannie ROSSER. Born in 1878 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 70, Nannie died in 1948. Buried in 1948 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 14, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

On 1 Oct 1901 when Nannie was 23, she married Zelmer A. SCOTT, son of William Thomas SCOTT (1853-1914) & Mary Jane TILSON (1856-1928), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in 1878. At the age of 89, Zelmer A. died in 1967. Buried in 1967 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

They had the following children:
i. Cecil. Born in 1904 in Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

Cecil married Vera KIZER, daughter of Roland E. KIZER (1885-) & Lela RUSH (1890-). Born in 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

43 ii. James Zelmer (1919-1977)

18. Effie ROSSER. Born on 24 Aug 1885. At the age of 92, Effie died on 26 Sep 1977. Buried in 1977 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 9 Aug 1911 when Effie was 25, she married John Albert PARKER, son of Joseph Priest PARKER (1856-1926) & Mary Elizabeth BARNHILL (1855-1920), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 26 Nov 1888. At the age of 69, John Albert died on 26 May 1958. Buried in 1958 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1939. Occupation: Farmer and grocery merchant, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had one child:
i. James Howard. Born on 27 Jan 1914. At the age of 22, James Howard died in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee on 13 May 1936. Buried in May 1936 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee.

No issue.

Obituary: Young Man Dies: Howard Parker, only child of John and Effie Parker, died last Wednesday in the home of his father at Parker's Crossroads, near Wildersville. He was about 22 years of age and had been a student in the Lexington High School until his failing health caused him to go to Ridge Top Sanatorium, but he returned and for the past several months had been confined to his bed. Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church by Rev. A.U. Nunnery with interment in the Jones Graveyard.


19. Newmie ROSSER. Born in 1891. At the age of 66, Newmie died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1957. Buried in 1957 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Newmie first married Arthur C. SCOTT, son of William Thomas SCOTT (1853-1914) & Mary Jane TILSON (1856-1928). Born in 1889. At the age of 47, Arthur C. died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 26 Nov 1936. Buried in Nov 1926 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They were divorced in Apr 1934 in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Arthur Scott Found Dead at Tourist Camp: Arthur Scott, 48, born and reared in the Wildersville Community, was found dead in a bed at a tourist camp near Jackson early Thanksgiving morning, November 26th. Mr. Scott seemed perfectly well when he entered the camp early the night before and when an attendant was making his rounds he was found dead and physicians said death must have come several hours before. Mr. Scott leaves three children, two daughters and one son, Louise, Lucille, and William; three brothers, Z.A., Ellis, and Charlie, the later a prominent merchant of Wildersville; and a nephew, Lawton W. Scott, this city. Rev. Fleetwood Ball conducted the funeral service at Crossroads.

i. Infant. Born in Aug 1911. Infant died in Henderson County, Tennessee in Aug 1911. Buried in Aug 1911 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

In May 1934 when Newmie was 43, she second married Sam Kirkland MASSEY, son of George MASSEY (1858-1904) & Amanda Elizabeth KEE (1872-1941), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in Jul 1896 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 38, Sam Kirkland died in Henderson County, Tennessee in Mar 1935. Buried in Mar 1935 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 8, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900.



20. Jeffie ROSSER. Born in 1893. At the age of 87, Jeffie died in 1980. Buried in 1980 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 29 Oct 1909 when Jeffie was 16, she married George Cass PARKER, son of Joseph Priest PARKER (1856-1926) & Mary Elizabeth BARNHILL (1855-1920), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 24 Apr 1891 in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 48, George Cass died in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jun 1939. Buried in 1939 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Occupation: Farmer.
