60. Velma BOLEN. Born on 7 Jan 1912. At the age of 88, Velma died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 16 Nov 2000. Buried in Nov 2000 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Nov 2000.

Velma Bolen taught fourth grade at Clarksburg Elementary School for many years.

In 1930 when Velma was 17, she married Floyd THOMASON, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had one child:

61. William Edward BOLEN. Born on 26 May 1924 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, William Edward died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 25 Oct 2000. Buried in Oct 2000 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Mutt". Cause of death: Heart failure.

Obituary: Services for William Edward "Mutt" Bolen were Saturday at Yuma Baptist Church. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Bolen, who was 76, died Wednesday at his home of heart failure. He was a retired salesman. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Joan E. Bolen of Yuma; two daughters, Amy J. Sanbat of Huntingdon and Jennifer Watson of Westport; four sons, Bill Bolen of Hollow Rock, Jeff Bolen of Nashville, Larry Bolen of Parkers Crossroads and Russell Bolen of Huntingdon and two sisters, Gertrude Rulofson of Palo Alto, Calif., and Velma Thomason of Huntingdon.

Obituary: William Edward (Mutt) Bolen, 76, of Yuma, died Wednesday, October 25, at his home. Services were held on Saturday, October 28, at the Yuma Baptist Church. Rev. Derrick Jowers officiated the service. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Bolen, the son of the late William Levi and Ethel Roberts Bolen, was born May 26, 1924, in Yuma. He was a retired salesman for Beaver Welding in Memphis, a member of the Westport Baptist Church, and a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Marine Core, which he was a veteran of World War II and Korean War. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Garner; and a brother, Henry Howard Bolen. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan Bolen; two daughters, Amy Joan Sanbat of Huntingdon and Jennifer Watson of Westport; four sons, Jeff Bolen of Nashville, Russell Bolen of Huntingdon, Bill Bolen of Hollow Rock, and Larry Bolen of Parker Crossroads; two sisters, Velma Thomason of Huntingdon and Gertrude (Trudy) Rulofson of Palto Alto, California; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


William Edward married Joan BROWNE.

They had the following children:

vi. Larry. Resided in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee in Nov 2000.


62. Mary Ann BOLEN. Born on 7 Apr 1930. At the age of 70, Mary Ann died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 25 Jun 2000.

Obituary: Services for Mrs. Mary Ann Garner are today, Wednesday, June 28, 11 a.m. at Pafford Funeral Home with burial in Farmville Cemetery, Wildersville. Mrs. Garner, who was 70, died Sunday, June 25, at Jackson General Hospital of heart failure. She was a retired bookkeeper. She leaves two sons, Dale Waugh and Mike Waugh, both of Lexington; a daughter, Robin Waugh of Lexington; a brother, William Bolen of Huntingdon; two sisters, Trudy Rulofson of San Francisco, Calif., and Velma Thomason of Huntingdon, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann first married Alvis WAUGH, son of Dewey B. WAUGH (1899-1972) & Girtha L. BREWER (1903-1986).

They had the following children:
i. Mike. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jun 2000.

ii. Dale. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jun 2000.

iii. Robin. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jun 2000.

iv. Gary Alan. Buried in Farmville Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
