Family of Doctor Bennie Lara JOHNSON (290) & Melba Joyce BRIDGES Obituary: CEDAR GROVE: Thomas B. Johnson, 48, died Thursday, May 8, at his home. Funeral services were Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Johnson and Bro. Tim Maness officiating. Burial followed in New Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born November 11, 1959 in Opealika, Alabama. He was a fork lift operator for Milan Arsenal and a Deacon and song leader for New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Bennie Johnson. Survivors include: his wife, Cindy Johnson; his mother, Melba Johnson of Huntingdon; one daughter, Kimberly (Allen) Maness of Darden; one son, Brian (Jenna) Johnson of White House; one brother, David (Christy) Johnson of Lewisburg; and three grandchildren. Thomas Benjamin married Cindy FORTNER, daughter of Issac Pinkie FORTNER & Mary Martha HOWELL. Born on 9 Apr 1960 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. At the age of 48, Cindy died in Dyersburg, Dyer County, Tennessee on 9 Mar 2009. Buried on 11 Mar 2009 in New Liberty Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Obituary: Mrs. Cindy Johnson, 48 of Dyersburg, Tennessee, formerly of Cedar Grove, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Brian Johnson and Bro. Tim Maness will officiate the service. The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home after 4:00 PM on Tuesday and from 10:00 Am until time of services on Wednesday. Mrs. Johnson was born April 9, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee to late Issac Pinkie Fortner and Mary Martha (Howell) Fortner. She was a home maker and a member of the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, who died May 8, 2008, Thomas B. Johnson, and one brother, Larry Fortner. She is survived by one daughter, Kim Maness (husband Allen) of Darden, one son, Brian Johnson (wife Jenna) of White House, three sisters, Dina Harris, Pattie Prince, Virginia Climer all of Dyersburg, two brothers, Jerry Fortner of Dyersburg, and Joe Jacobs of Covington. She also leaves three grandchildren, Landon Maness, Kenley Maness, and Karlee Maness. They had the following children:
