Family of Cornelia PEARSON (39) & Basley Henry GRAVES Obituary: Services for Ray Graves were Sunday, May 13, at Pafford Funeral Home with burial in Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Graves, who was 91, died Saturday, May 12, at Lexington Methodist Hospital of respiratory failure. He was a retail store owner. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hessie Graves of Lexington; a son, John Graves of Lexington, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. On 8 Sep 1936 when Joe Ray was 26, he married Hassie JOHNSON, in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. Born in 1913. At the age of 90, Hassie died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 8 Jan 2003. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 2001. Obituary: Services for Mrs. Hessie J. Graves, age 90, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2003 at Pafford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Graves, retail merchant of Graves Hardware, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Heritage Place of Lexington. Mrs. Graves was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Deborah Sunday School Class. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Women when her health allowed. She is survived by her son, John Graves of Lexington, TN; grandchildren, Mandy Pierce and Matt Graves; and great grandchild, Callie Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ray Graves, a brother, Birthel Johnson and a sister, Ruby Barnhill. They had one child:
