164. James Henry JOHNSON Senior. Born on 1 Nov 1897.

James Henry married Virgie Mae WALL, daughter of Fernando Addison WALL (1881-1962) & Ada Mae BRANDON (1881-1947). Born on 24 Oct 1908 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 93, Virgie Mae died in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee on 14 Jan 2002. Buried on 16 Jan 2002 in Carroll County Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Virgie Mae Johnson, 93, of Huntingdon, died Monday, January 14, at the McKenzie Health Care Center. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Chad Ramsey and Bro. Bill Goodpasture officiated. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens in McKenzie. Pallbearers who served were Dr. Jerry Gooch, Alan Pritchard, Bobby Wall, Tommy Wall, Wesley Collins, and Gary Collins. Mrs. Johnson, the daughter of the late Fernando Addison and Ada Mae (Brandon) Wall, was born October 24, 1908, in Roans Creek Community of Carroll County. She was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ and Huntingdon Education Association. She also did volunteer work for the Baptist Hospital and the American Red Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Johnson, Sr: two sisters, Arnell Wall and Irene (Wall) Pritchard; and four brothers, F.A. Wall, Jr., Thomas Clayton Wall, Johnnie Young Wall and James Edward Wall, Sr. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James Henry (Jimmy) and Mary Evelyn Johnson, II, of McKenzie; two granddaughters, Mary Beth (Johnson) Browning, of Medina, and Beverly Louise (Johnson) Ramsey, and husband Chad Ramsey of Sparta; and two great grandsons, Reilly Colton Browning and Johnson Glenn Ramsey.

Obituary: Services for Mrs. Virgie Mae Johnson, 93, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2002, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens in McKenzie. Mrs. Johnson, a retired school teacher, died Monday at McKenzie Health Care Center of heart failure.

165. Essie Mae JOHNSON. Born on 1 Apr 1899 in Huntingdon, Tennessee. At the age of 84, Essie Mae died on 25 Jul 1983. Buried in 1983 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 6 Jul 1919 when Essie Mae was 20, she married Martin Onnie WALL, son of William H. WALL (1840-1926) & Martha Alice SCOTT (1859-1934). Born on 27 Nov 1895 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Martin Onnie died on 19 Aug 1974. Buried in Aug 1974 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

i. Brady Yvonne. Born on 17 Jul 1920. Resided in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.

Brady Yvonne married Virgil JOHNSON. Resided in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.

ii. Alice Carolyn. Born on 6 Dec 1922. Resided in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.

iii. Martin Johnson. Born on 3 Sep 1930. At the age of 12, Martin Johnson died on 9 Nov 1942. Buried in 1942 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

iv. Frances Mae. Born on 21 Dec 1935. Resided in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.
