William married Nancy Ann SELF, daughter of Peter Smith SELF and Elizabeth VICK, on 12 Feb 1831 in Orange County, North Carolina. Nancy was born on 27 Sep 1818 in Pittsboro, Chatham County, North Carolina. She died on 20 Feb 1896 in Benton County, Tennessee. She was buried in Feb 1896 in Ellis Cemetery, Benton County, Tennessee.

They had the following children.

Delilah married Stanford HATLEY.
