Obituary: TREZEVANT: Funeral services for Mrs. Josie Rochelle Essary, 91, were held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 12 at the Brummitt Funeral Home, Trezevant, with burial following in Trezevant Cemetery. Mrs. Essary, a retired school teacher, died from heart failure on Thursday night, January 10 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie. She was a graduate of Bethel College and a member of Trezevant Church of Christ. She taught in the Trezevant School System for 33 years. Her husbands, Giles Rochelle and Gale Essary and a sister Claudine Ross preceded her in death. She was born September 11, 1910 in Trezevant to the late Pearl Singleton and M. E. Singleton. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Holmes Johnson of Memphis, a stepdaughter, Christine Mays of Atwood; a son, Jim Rochelle of Knoxville; a stepson, Gordon Essary of Jackson; a sister, Jessie Dickson of Fruit Heights, Utah; a brother, Fletcher Singleton of Enterprise, Mississippi; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 63. Alice ESSARY. Born on 22 Oct 1909 in Tennessee. Resided in Gibson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan in 1930. On 19 Aug 1928 when Alice was 18, she married Floyd I. GALEY. Born around 1904 in Tennessee. They had one child:
