GRIGGS. Born on 7 Oct 1894 in Decatur County, Tennessee. At the age of 94, Covie C. died on 30 Dec 1988. Buried in Dec 1988 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 9, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District 5, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1930.

On 1 Aug 1920 when Covie C. was 25, he married Lilly L. HICKS. Born on 23 Feb 1902 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. At the age of 69, Lilly L. died on 23 Dec 1971. Buried in Dec 1971 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 5, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had one child:

42. Gurtha M. GRIGGS. Born in 1904 in Decatur County, Tennessee.

On 18 Jul 1920 when Gurtha M. was 16, she married Andrew T. PRITCHARD, son of George Manley PRITCHARD (1874-1961) & Mary Idella TAYLOR (1876-1950), in Sugar Tree, Decatur County, Tennessee. Born on 13 Mar 1900. At the age of 81, Andrew T. died in Sugar Tree, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1982. Resided in 2nd District, Benton County, Tennessee in 1920.

They had the following children:

86 ii. Dewey Andrew (1921-2005)
iii. Doris. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jun 2005.

Doris married ? WARD.

iv. Ronnie. Resided in Brentwood, Tennessee in Jun 2005.

v. Dorothy Sue.

Dorothy Sue married ? LOONEY.

vi. Ruth.

Ruth married ? BAKER.
