Obituary: Services for James Hardie James were Friday, July 16, 1999, at Reed's Chapel with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. James, who was 88, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, at his home. He was a farmer. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Irene Bartholomew James of Lexington; four daughters, Geraldine Moore of Humboldt, Dorothy Fesmire, Janice Johnson, both of Lexington and Lily Karen James of Brooklyn, N.Y., five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

On 27 Nov 1932 when James Hardie was 21, he first married Gladys Irene BLACKWELL, daughter of Huey Columbus BLACKWELL (1892-1986) & Lottie P. KIRK (1895-1974), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in 1913 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 28, Gladys Irene died in 1941. Buried in 1941 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Irene".

They had the following children:

James Hardie second married Irene Lancaster BARTHOLOMEW, daughter of James Lee BARTHOLOMEW (1880-1955) & Lillie WHITE (1886-1966). Born in 1919. Resided in Huron, Henderson County, Tennessee in 2000.

They had the following children:

	i.	David James. Born on 15 Oct 1946. At the age of 9, David James died on 27 Jul 1956. Buried in Jul 1956 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

	iii.	Lilly Karen. Resided in Brooklyn, New York in 1999.

90. Charles Olen JAMES. Born in 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 46, Charles Olen died in 1954. Buried in 1954 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Charlie".

Charles Olen first married Evy Lena JACKSON, daughter of Madison Troy JACKSON (1878-1953) & Martha Elizabeth STEWART (1880-1942). Born on 3 Feb 1913 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 79, Evy Lena died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 1 May 1992. Buried in May 1992 in Ridgecrest Cemetery, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

Charles Olen second married Lennie Mable BARR, daughter of James Arthur BARR (1881-1959) & Maudie Pearl PILLOW (1891-1971). Born in Jul 1915 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Lennie Mable died in 1991. Buried in 1991 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Mable".

Roland H. married Ruth CHESTER, daughter of Church CHESTER & Lucy VOLNER. Born in 1917.

They had one child:

Willie Sue. Born in 1937 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

Willie Sue married Billy Joe HOOD.
