1. Stephen JOHNSON was born on 29 Oct 1790 in South Carolina. He died on 8 Aug 1857 in Carroll County, Tennessee. He was buried in Aug 1857 in Bennett-Belew Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Stephen married Mary KYTLE, daughter of Jacob KYTLE and Mary Ann HENDRICKSON, on 1 Apr 1813 in South Carolina. Mary was born on 1 Jan 1790 in Greenville District, South Carolina. She died on 17 Aug 1880 in Carroll County, Tennessee. She was buried in 1880 in Bennett-Belew Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children.

+ 3 M ii Williams JOHNSON was born on 1 Sep 1815. He died on 16 Dec 1889.

+ 5 F iv Caroline M JOHNSON was born in 1820. She died in Sep 1860.
+ 6 M v John JOHNSON was born on 13 Feb 1821. He died on 19 Sep 1889.
+ 7 M vi James Pennington JOHNSON was born on 16 Jun 1822. He died on 11 Dec 1881.
+ 8 F vii Harriet Rebecca JOHNSON was born in 1824.
+ 9 M viii William JOHNSON was born on 13 Jan 1825. He died on 20 Oct 1913.
+ 10 F ix Sarah JOHNSON was born on 31 Mar 1825. She died on 5 Jul 1898.
+ 11 F x Mary Ann JOHNSON was born in 1827. She died on 12 Jun 1905.
+ 12 F xi Angeline JOHNSON was born in 1832.
