Family of James R. PETTY (1) & Vicey RUSSELL

2. Henderson Carroll PETTY. Born on 9 Sep 1832 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Henderson Carroll died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 21 Mar 1914. Buried in Mar 1914 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Henderson Carroll first married Alabama MEALS, daughter of Lewis William MEALS (1788-1856) & Susanna Turner Gray DOUGLAS (1812-1861). Born on 16 Oct 1841 in Tennessee. At the age of 20, Alabama died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 11 Aug 1862. Buried in Aug 1862 in Waller-Douglas Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

In 1865 when Henderson Carroll was 32, he second married Nancy Ann Hannah WILLIAMS, daughter of Benjamin T. WILLIAMS (1811-1870) & Margaret LONGMIRE (1806-). Born on 18 May 1844. At the age of 70, Nancy Ann Hannah died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 13 Aug 1914. Buried in Aug 1914 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Madison County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

They had the following children:
3 i. Luella Jane (1866-1934)
4 ii. Josie Hix (1868-1917)
5 iii. William Homer (1869-1949)
iv. Infant. Born in 1871. Infant died in 1871.

6 v. James Benjamin (1873-1951)
7 vi. Margaret Emma (1875-1957)
8 vii. Visie Ann (1878-1966)
viii. Elan. Born in 1879. Elan died in 1879.
