1. John William SCOTT was born on 23 Feb 1773. He died in 1844 in Macon County, Tennessee.

John married Frankie Frances WOOD, daughter of Malone WOOD and Frances BISHOP. Frankie was born about 1770. She died in Macon County, Tennessee.

They had the following children.

+ 2 M i William C. SCOTT was born on 23 Feb 1793. He died in 1870.
+ 3 F ii Sarah B. SCOTT was born on 18 Jan 1795.
+ 4 M iii John L SCOTT was born on 11 Feb 1797. He died about 1856.
+ 5 F iv Matilda SCOTT was born on 10 Aug 1799. She died on 2 May 1890.
+ 6 M v Chronicle F SCOTT was born on 3 Apr 1801. He died in 1880.
+ 7 F vi Abigail SCOTT was born on 9 May 1803. She died on 1 Sep 1859.
+ 8 F vii Ellender SCOTT was born on 5 Jun 1805. She died on 26 Mar 1860.
  9 F viii Malinda SCOTT was born on 1 Nov 1807. She died about 1852.
        Malinda married Shepard GUM.
        Malinda also married Thomas J. DOTSON.
+ 10 F ix Minerva Ann SCOTT was born on 3 May 1810. She died on 8 Jun 1894.
+ 11 M x Wiley SCOTT was born on 10 Sep 1812. He died on 30 Apr 1889.
  12 F xi Mary Elizabeth SCOTT was born on 2 Jan 1815.
        Mary married Robert KIRK.
        Mary also married R. C. BALLAU.
+ 13 F xii Francis SCOTT was born on 1 Aug 1817.
  14 M xiii James Bishop SCOTT was born on 18 Mar 1819. He died in 1846.
