1. John STANFORD was born in 1758 in Virginia. He died in 1820 in Giles County, Tennessee, USA.

John married Martha MAXWELL, daughter of Thomas MAXWELL.

They had the following children.

+ 2 M i Thomas G. STANFORD was born in 1797. He died in 1880.
+ 3 M ii Jesse Thomas STANFORD was born about 1800.
+ 4 M iii Nimrod R. STANFORD was born in 1804. He died in 1845.
