2. John Abraham UMSTEAD (Daniel ) was born in 1804 in Orange County, North Carolina. He died in 1875 in Maple Creek, Carroll County, Tennessee, USA. He was buried in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee, USA.

John married Beady PARISH, daughter of Claborn PARRISH and Mary WALLACE, on 22 Feb 1822 in Granville County, North Carolina. Beady was born in 1804 in Orange County, North Carolina. She died in 1875 in Maple Creek, Carroll County, Tennessee. She was buried in Westport, Carroll County, Tennessee, United States of America.

They had the following children.

+ 3 F i Arminta UMSTEAD was born in 1827. She died after 1900.
+ 4 M ii Paul UMSTEAD was born in 1827. He died in 1874.
+ 5 M iii Daniel UMSTEAD was born on 20 Jun 1829. He died on 20 Mar 1888.
+ 6 F iv Mary UMSTEAD was born on 15 Oct 1830. She died on 18 Dec 1889.
+ 7 F v Angeline UMSTEAD was born about 1832. She died on 8 Jun 1909.
+ 8 F vi Elaney Beady UMSTEAD was born in 1833.
+ 9 M vii Doctor C. UMSTEAD was born about 1834. He died in 1900.
  10 F viii Rebecca UMSTEAD was born about 1836.
        Rebecca married Allison HAMPTON. Allison was born about 1845 in Tennessee.
+ 11 F ix Elizabeth UMSTEAD was born in 1844. She died on 26 Mar 1898.
  12 M x Esquire J. UMSTEAD was born about 1844 in Carroll County, Tennessee.
        Esquire married Catherine ADAMS on 24 Jan 1868 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Catherine was born about 1854.
