At the age of 87, Thomas Henry died in Tennessee on 19 Sep 1921. Buried in Sep 1921 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Obituary: Dies at age 87: Thomas Burton, formerly of this county, but more recently a citizen of Carroll County, aged 87 years and 2 days, died Monday morning at the home of his son, Henry Burton, near Wildersville. Mr. Burton suffered a stroke of paralysis nine years ago and a recurrence of the stroke about four weeks before his death. The funeral occurred at Rock Springs last Tuesday. The casket was furnished by Wright & Montgomery and Mr. Wright informs us that Mr. Burton was the oldest person for whose person for whose funeral his firm has ever furnished a coffin or casket.
