Buried on 8 Apr 2008 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Obituary: Cora Sue Ashley, 71, of Humboldt, died Sunday, April 6, at Humboldt General Hospital. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Spain Cemetery with Bro. Robert Barger officiating. Pallbearers who served were Travis Bray, Josh Blankenship, Tom Blankenship, and Garland (Buckey) Moore. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Ashley, daughter of the late Leonard Odom Stanford and Lillie Inez (Spencer) Stanford, was born on March 12, 1937, in Henderson County. She was a factory worker for the Henry I. Siegel Company and a member of the Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lee Ashley, who died in April 2004; and a brother, Leonard DeWayne Stanford. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Jean Bray of Cedar Grove and Jody Beth Blankenship of Medina; two sons, Tommy Dean Moore of Jackson and Timothy Duke of Cedar Grove; a sister, Elsie Mae Moore of Cedar Grove; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
