Family of Lee GRIGGS (4) & Agatha SYKES

14. Alford GRIGGS. Born on 2 Apr 1833 in Pleasant Exchange, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Alford died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 14 Jul 1916. Buried in Jul 1916 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

In Dec 1865 when Alford was 32, he married Mary Elizabeth TODD, daughter of Benjamin TODD Senior (1808-1870) & Ruth SHERROD (1815-), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 28 Mar 1837. At the age of 57, Mary Elizabeth died on 26 Sep 1894. Buried in Sep 1894 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Alexander Dubois. Born on 22 Oct 1866 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 50, Alexander Dubois died on 1 Jul 1917. Buried in Jul 1917 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Alexander Dubois married Hattie E. SCOTT, daughter of Charlie R. SCOTT (1838-1907) & Amanda BELL. Born on 26 Sep 1874. At the age of 36, Hattie E. died on 16 Oct 1910. Buried in Oct 1910 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Evajean. Born on 12 Jan 1877 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

Evajean married Arcadius S. STANFORD.
