Family of William Pitt WAUGH Junior (3) & Cyrena Elizabeth STACY

10. William Lee WAUGH. Born in 1866 in Coahoma, Mississippi. At the age of 27, William Lee died in Henderson County, Tennessee around 1893.

William Lee married Arbelle HAYES.

They had one child:

11. James Monroe WAUGH. Born on 10 Nov 1867 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, James Monroe died on 23 Jul 1937. Buried in Jul 1937 in Farmville Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Alias/AKA: "Jim".

James Monroe first married Arcate Katie EUBANKS, daughter of Thomas Monroe EUBANKS (1834-1933) & Elizabeth Carson DAVIS (1842-). Born in 1869 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 27, Arcate Katie died in Henderson County, Tennessee around 1896. Buried around 1896 in Lindsey Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 31 Mar 1897 when James Monroe was 29, he second married Missouri Caldonia EUBANKS, daughter of Thomas Monroe EUBANKS (1834-1933) & Elizabeth Carson DAVIS (1842-), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 4 Feb 1871 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, Missouri Caldonia died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 24 Jun 1940. Buried in Jun 1940 in Farmville Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

12. Mary Eliza WAUGH. Born on 8 Jul 1869 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 73, Mary Eliza died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee on 21 Jan 1943. Buried in Jan 1943 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Mollie".

On 23 Feb 1890 when Mary Eliza was 20, she first married Irvin Columbus GIBSON, son of Porter GIBSON & Sarah Jane RAINEY, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 2 Apr 1867 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 29, Irvin Columbus died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 8 Jul 1896. Buried in Jul 1896 in Gibson Family Cemetery, Decatur County, Tennessee.

Following information provided by Johnny Walker: Irvin C. Gibson died in 1896 after helping to prepare a neighbor's body for burial. In those days the neighbors served as undertakers most of the time. Apparently he caught pneumonia from the dead neighbor and died just a few days later. He was buried in a small family cemetery near the home of his father, Porter Gibson, which was located near the county corners of Benton, Carroll, Henderson, and Decatur counties. The old cemetery was located in Decatur County, Tennessee very near the county line. Porter Gibson was also buried in this same cemetery. J.W.C. Gibson had often talked of having his father, Irvin C. Gibson, moved from this backwoods cemetery to New Hope Cemetery near Yuma, Carroll Co., Tennessee where his mother was buried. In 1974, after the car accident which took the life of J.W.C. Gibson and his wife, J.W. Gibson decided to fulfill the wishes of his father and have the body of Irvin C. Gibson moved. The grave of Irvin C. Gibson is now marked at both the original burial site and at New Hope Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. Sarah Eliza. Born on 9 May 1893. Sarah Eliza died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 6 May 1894. Buried in May 1894 in Gibson Family Cemetery, Decatur County, Tennessee.

Both Sarah Eliza Gibson and her father, Irvin Columbus Gibson, were originally buried in a small family cemetery located in Decatur County, Tennessee just across the county line from their home in Henderson Co., Tennessee. In 1974 both Sarah Eliza and her father were moved to New Hope Cemetery., Carroll Co., Tennessee to be placed next to the grave of Mary Eliza (Waugh) Gibson Cary. The marker at New Hope Cemetery spells her name Sarah Elizia Gibson.

On 7 Feb 1901 when Mary Eliza was 31, she second married Thomas CARY, son of Thomas CARY (1793-) & Elizabeth ROBERTSON (1794-), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 1 Jul 1825 in Orange County, North Carolina. At the age of 88, Thomas died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 9 May 1914. Buried in May 1914 in Greener Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 1 Aug 1933 when Mary Eliza was 64, she third married James Monroe McPEAKE, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 1 Mar 1856. At the age of 86, James Monroe died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 10 Aug 1942. Buried in Aug 1942 in Crowell Chapel, Henderson County, Tennessee.

13. Joseph Edward WAUGH Senior. Born on 11 Apr 1871 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 61, Joseph Edward died in Henryetta, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma on 30 Jun 1932.

Around 1889 when Joseph Edward was 17, he married Ida L. REAMES, daughter of John REAMES & Rebecca THOMPSON, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 4 Aug 1874 in Benton County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Ida L. died in Henryetta, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma on 4 Sep 1949.

They had the following children:

viii. Arzie. Born on 16 Feb 1911 in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. At the age of 65, Arzie died in Payson, Gila County, Arizona in Mar 1976.

Arzie first married Alta HAMPTON.

Arzie second married Mae ?.

Arzie third married Marie ?.

66 x. Carlisle (1918-1999)

This family moved from Henderson County, Tennessee, to Oklahoma in Nov 1904. In 1919 the family moved to Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi. Finally, in Apr 1922, the family returned to Oklahoma.

14. Martha Elizabeth WAUGH. Born on 11 May 1874 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 84, Martha Elizabeth died in Stanton, Martin County, Texas on 24 Apr 1959. Buried in Apr 1959 in Evergreen Cemetery, Martin, Texas. Alias/AKA: "Bettie".

This family moved from Carroll County, Tennessee to Okmulgee County, Oklahoma about 1904. In 1914, they relocated to Mercedes, Texas. In about 1920 they moved again to Colorado City, Texas. Then in about 1923, they bought their farm near Stanton, Texas.

On 11 Sep 1894 when Martha Elizabeth was 20, she married Marion Segretis GIBSON, son of Porter GIBSON & Sarah Jane RAINEY, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 18 Jul 1872 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, Marion Segretis died in Stanton, Martin County, Texas on 10 Nov 1961. Buried in Nov 1961 in Evergreen Cemetery, Martin, Texas.

They had the following children:
i. Effie Estelle. Born on 30 Dec 1895 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 1, Effie Estelle died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 16 Feb 1897.

This family moved from Carroll County, Tennessee to Okmulgee County, Oklahoma about 1904. In 1914 the family relocated to Mercedes, Texas. In about 1920 the family moved to Colorado City, Texas. Finally about 1923, the family bought their farm near Stanton, Texas.

15. William Rupert WAUGH. Born on 27 Jan 1880 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 66, William Rupert died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 28 Jan 1946. Buried in Jan 1946 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 19 Aug 1899 when William Rupert was 19, he married Rachel Ledora EUBANKS, daughter of Thomas Monroe EUBANKS (1834-1933) & Elizabeth Carson DAVIS (1842-), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 20 Feb 1879 in Tennessee. At the age of 77, Rachel Ledora died in Madison County, Tennessee on 21 Dec 1956. Buried in Dec 1956 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Dora".

They had the following children:

iii. Lena Thelma. Born on 11 Dec 1904. At the age of 73, Lena Thelma died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 5 Nov 1978.

Lena Thelma married Will ORR.

v. Laluah Elizabeth. Born on 16 Mar 1911. At the age of 86, Laluah Elizabeth died on 13 Dec 1997. Buried in Dec 1997 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Laluah Elizabeth first married Homer JOWERS.

Laluah Elizabeth second married Eddie HALL.

On 30 Oct 1981 when Laluah Elizabeth was 70, she third married Robert Buford CARNAL, son of Ether Lee CARNAL (1885-1948) & Nora SIMPSON (1888-1972). Born in 1910 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, Robert Buford died on 6 Nov 1986.
