Family of William Thomas R. SEGRAVES (5) & Arabelle Frances CARRINGTON

16. Mary Ada SEGRAVES. Born on 8 Feb 1876 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Mary Ada died on 23 Oct 1951. Buried in Oct 1951 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

According to a letter written 28 Feb 1878 by Moses Segraves to his half-brother, William P. Waugh, Mary Ada weighed three pounds at birth.

On 24 Apr 1904 when Mary Ada was 28, she married William H. WILLIAMSON, son of Wesley WILLIAMSON (1842-) & Elizabeth C. FISHER (1847-). Born on 22 Mar 1868. At the age of 51, William H. died on 16 Jan 1920. Buried in Jan 1920 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

They had the following children:

79 ii. Robert (1906-)
80 iii. Frances Elizabeth (1914-1988)
iv. Clara J.. Born on 1 Feb 1918. At the age of 51, Clara J. died on 20 Jan 1970. Buried in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

17. John Thomas SEGRAVES. Born in Apr 1880 in Henderson County, Tennessee. John Thomas died in Missouri. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

John Thomas Segraves moved to Missouri about 1922 and is buried there.

On 10 Jan 1900 when John Thomas was 19, he married Addie V. CARY, daughter of James Monroe CARY (1845-) & Sintha Jane AIKEN (1854-1921), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 3 Jul 1878 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Buried in Missouri. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in Feb 1924.

They had the following children:
81 i. Martin L. (1901-1972)
82 ii. Lillie Mae (1903-1939)
iii. Lottie. Born in 1909. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

iv. Otis. Born in 1912. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

v. W.L.. Born in 1917.

vi. H.C..


John Thomas Seagraves and his wife, Addie Cary moved to Missouri in about 1922 and died there.
