10. Alexander MEALS. Born on 28 Jan 1820 in Alabama. At the age of 44, Alexander died on 6 Oct 1864. Buried in 1864 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Alexander married M.J. SINGLETON. Alias/AKA: "Polly".

They had the following children:
i. Infant. Born on 10 Jun 1855. Infant died on 10 Jun 1855. Buried in 1855 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. John W.. Born in 1857. At the age of 12, John W. died in 1869. Buried in 1869 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

11. Jackson MEALS. Born on 25 Jan 1823 in Limestone County, Alabama (Possibly). At the age of 50, Jackson died in 1874.

Jackson married SARAH. Born about 1833 in Tennessee. Buried in Prices Chapel Cemetery, Texas.

iii. James A.. Born on 20 Mar 1856 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 53, James A. died in Joshua, Cleburne County, Tennessee on 29 Apr 1909. Buried in 1909 in Prices Chapel, Cleburne County, Texas.


12. Nancy MEALS. Born on 13 Sep 1825 in Madison County, Alabama. At the age of 55, Nancy died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 17 Mar 1881. Buried in 1881 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Nancy married Isaac COFFMAN (7) , son of Joseph COFFMAN (2) (1790-1845) & Sarah MEALS (1794-1870). Born on 6 Dec 1823 in Alabama. At the age of 61, Isaac died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 25 Jan 1885. Buried in 1885 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Sarah Susanna. Born on 12 Oct 1847 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Sarah Susanna died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 21 Mar 1938. Buried in 1938 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Aunt Taddie".

Sarah Susanna Coffman, (1848-1938) married John Barr, but never had any children. She is buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Henderson County, Tennessee. She assisted many other families with their children. She assisted Jenny Meals, daughter of William Henderson Meals with her child. Jenny was murdered when she was very young. Sarah raised her child after the murder.


Obituary: Mrs. Sarah Barr, 89 years old, daughter of the late Isaac Coffman, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. V.D. Bush, in the First District, March 21, 1938. Mrs. Barr had been a widow for many years, Mr. Barr having died in 1893. She had no children but is survived by one brother, W.D. Coffman, Cleburne, Texas. Three brothers, Tom, Miles, and General Coffman, died many years ago. Mrs. Barr joined the Baptist Church when a young lady and Rev. John R. Page, a minister of that faith, officiated at the funeral service. She was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Sarah Susanna married John A. BARR. John A. died in 1893.

13. William Henderson MEALS Junior. Born on 22 Sep 1832 in Tennessee. At the age of 62, William Henderson died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 4 Dec 1894. Buried in 1894 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

William Henderson first married Sara Ann SINGLETON. Born on 24 Nov 1834 in Tennessee. At the age of 42, Sara Ann died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Jan 1877. Buried in 1877 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

14. Addison MEALS. Born on 30 Nov 1834 in Tennessee. At the age of 76, Addison died in Johnson County, Texas on 11 Apr 1911. Resided in Cleburne, Texas.

Obituary: A Johnson County Pioneer is Dead: Addison Meals Dies at His Home at Prices Chapel and Funeral Takes Place This Afternoon. Addison Meals, an old time citizen of Prices' Chapel, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his home, about 4 miles southeast of Cleburne. He was a worthy and a long time member of the Methodist Church; also a Mason and a member of Cleburne Lodge No. 315. His age was 76 years old last November and had been a member of Prices' Chapel neighborhood for mother than 30 years. He leaves a widow, also a son, W.J. Meals, and two daughters, Mrs. David Coffman and Mrs. Rebecca Laramore. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Fannie Barr.

i. Rebecca S.. Born in 1857. Buried in Alvardo Cemetery, Cleburne, Texas.

On 15 Mar 1879 when Rebecca S. was 22, she married John M. LARAMORE.

ii. Sarah Jane Frances. Born on 13 Aug 1859. At the age of 54, Sarah Jane Frances died on 8 Nov 1913. Buried in 1913 in Prices Chapel Cemetery.

Sarah Jane Frances married Davis COFFMAN.

iii. Nancy L.. Born in 1865.

On 10 Aug 1881 when Nancy L. was 16, she married J.R. BROOK, in Johnson County, Texas.

45 iv. William James (1869-)

15. Frances Ann MEALS. Born on 7 Aug 1839 in Tennessee. Resided in Cleburne, Texas. Alias/AKA: "Fannie".

Frances Ann married Frederick Carson BARR, son of Alexander BARR (1785-1863) & Nelley MACKASKEY (-1862). Born in 1830. At the age of 65, Frederick Carson died in Marystown, Texas in 1895. Buried in 1895 in Sand Flat Cemetery, Johnson County, Texas. Resided in Cleburne, Texas.

They had the following children:
i. W. A.. Born on 18 Dec 1857. At the age of 8, W. A. died on 13 May 1866. Buried in 1866 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Samuel M.. Born in 1859.
